The new 585WpTiger PRO modules from Jinko Solar grow the production capacity

PV module manufacturer JinkoSolar plans to increase the production capacity of its new Pro Tiger module series to 10 GW by October. It is reported in pv-magazine.

“Some of the existing lines will be upgraded to run this new series. In addition, our newly-expanded facilities will start the production of the Pro Tiger panels,” Jinko VP Dany Qian told.

Characteristics of the module

The module, which measures 2,411×1,134×35mm, weighs 31.1kg and features 182mm x 182mm 156 p-type monocrystalline cells, is available in five versions with power outputs claimed by Jinko of 565-585 W and reported efficiencies of 20.67-21.40%. Maximum power voltage varies from 43.77 V, for the 565 W panel, to 44.22 V for the 585 W version, according to the manufacturer, while open circuit voltage ranges from 52.97-53.42 V. “The lower open-circuit voltage can increase module numbers per string, which will decrease the number of strings in the system as well as the corresponding tracker, cables and installation costs,” Qian said.

Key Features of Tiger Pro

Reliable Tiling Ribbon Technology eliminates inter-cell gap to increase module efficiency. Multi busbar technology decreases the resistance and current loss . Tiger Pro has an improved temperature coefficient of -0.35%/ ° C. which provides increased energy generation. Ultra-high power output provides lowest LCOE and highest IRR.

As reported in Jinko Solar, innovative Tiger Pro Series of high-efficiency modules received the world's first IEC 61701 Ed. 3 (FDIS) certification for salt mist corrosion test issued by TÜV Nord AG, an independent provider of technical services for testing, inspection, certification, consultation and training.

"CX testing conditions are closest to reproducing some of the harshest real world environments and were recently applied to IEC 61701 Ed. 3 (FDIS) certification having originally been designed for automobile parts and coating. Receiving certification reflects just how resilient and reliable Tiger Pro modules are in their ability to withstand extreme salt mist corrosion in extreme environments. We will continue to invest in R&D of new technologies to provide our clients with higher-efficiency products that generate long-term sustainable returns, and drive technical innovation that sets new benchmarks for the industry," commented Dr. Hao Jin, Chief Technology Officer of JinkoSolar.
