By 2030, local decentralized energy systems will be created in each region of Ukraine, the stability of it will be secured by high-power storage devices (energy storages) and virtual regulators based on blockchain technology. At 50-90% of the electricity generation will be provided by renewable sources, mainly solar and wind power plants. The rest of the electricity will be generated by large hydroelectric power plants, thermal and nuclear power plants, whose capacity will significantly decrease over 12 years.
Such a forecast for the change in the energy landscape of Ukraine was made by director of company IB Centre Europe, chairman of organizing committee 10th International Forum and Trade Show of Central and Eastern Europe SEF 2018 KYIV.
"Today, the largest international energy companies carry out fundamental research and develop projects aimed at combining consumers into one decentralized system. With help of blockchain technology and smart contracts, the existing market model, consisting of manufacturers, distribution network operators, banks, traders because mediators will be simplified," described the future model Vitaliy Daviy.
At the same time, the power of renewable energy sources will increase in Ukraine in 9-10 times and will exceed 12 GW by 2030.
An incentive to accelerate the construction a large number of green power generation and energy storage facilities will be the rapid fall in prices for equipment and batteries, respectively, by 50-60% and 65-70%, over the next 10 years.
Such a change in the state of the technology market will allow green electricity tariffs to be generated, which will be more cheaper than electricity produced by traditional sources.
"Obviously, I drew the future, which, in the current conditions, political and economic timetables, looks a little futuristic. There are many who are interested in earning big money on a "peaceful" atom, coal, regional energy production companies, and decentralization for them as a verdict. But the main trends in the global energy market are changing the industrial landscape very quickly and these processes are irreversible," he added.
The latest technological advances in the field of sustainable energy that are already changing the world will be presented at the 10th International Forum and Trade Show of Central and Eastern Europe SEF 2018 KYIV, which will be held on October 16-19 in Kyiv.
SEF 2018 KYIV will present projects in the field of sustainable energy with a capacity of over 2 GW. More than 60 reputable international experts will become speakers of event, the number of participants in the forum (on October 16 at the Hilton Hotel) will exceed 400 delegates from more than 30 countries. More than 100 companies will present solutions and equipment during the exhibition, which will be held on October 17-19 at the ACCO Exhibition Center.
